Russian Culture 5

Today we finished with series of videos "All the Russias" , it was a great  joy to watch all of them ,  also it was very informative and helpful for my further presentation on Russian paintings and artists which will be on a second of December.

The fourth and the last part of series  "All the Russias   Looking East Looking West" telling to us how deep and multinational Russian culture is , as it was influenced by the bunch of nationalities with whom they ever contacted. It is shown in Russian poems  , music and paintings , as example I would take a poem of Lermontov ,  poem Tamara  were based on a Georgian legends about  the goddess of hunting.

First meeting with an east happening from one of the most valuable war conflicts in           Russian history from a attack of Tatars who started to went threw the borders of Russia and destroying and occupying   the  lands of  Russia. It was continuing till the victory of Russian troops and addition of Tatars lands to their territories.

Caucus was always magnet for a great artists such a Lermontov and Pushkin which was taking their inspiration from a gorgeous lands of Caucus  from it's  mountains and sunrises.
Not the best part of relations of Russia and Caucuses happened from annexation trans Caucasian territories and    war with northern mountaineers   who had a control over the roads in a mountains , these problem Stalin solved in very easy manner by departing most of nationalities who were opposing him to Siberia . It is probably the longest war Russia ever had as it's continuing till those days. As when the Soviet Union collapsed Caucasian states got independence  all except Chechnya these situation wasn't suitable situation to them as they wanted independence so they started fight for it .

In the 60's of the 19th century Russia invades in Middle Asia it was very tough as ethnical and religious views was absolutely different . It was absolutely different  civilization it was more eastern and wild and made absolutely different impact on Russian art it was a place of a small rules  which was hard to understand to essential human you can see it in different paintings.

From 17th century Russian been attacked by the European counties firstly by Poles who put Moscow of fire then by Swedes in a great northern war , and finally Napoleonic war which made Russia as the one of the great powers of that time , as when Napoleon came with his enormous army consisted  of european powers and lost to Russian given them feeling of invincibility which lasted till the WW1 the war that they lost with enormous losses of people.
But great victory over Germany in 1945 again made them one of the strongest world powers. Which also made impact on Russian Art especially on composers and music of that time.

I really enjoyed watching these series of documentaries , hope to use all information I've got in my final presentation.
